    Position: Sales Manager APAC

    The Position: The Sales Manager APAC for Company APAC will be responsible for performing all necessary sales functions to enable effective sales of new Company Dynamic UPS and Ride Through systems throughout the APAC region (excluding China and Taiwan). This role requires more than 30% travel and reports to the Business Leader APAC.

    Responsibilities:

    Sales Phase:

    Direct Sales:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, users, consultants, and suppliers.
    • Identify and develop relationships with new industry partners to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Conduct technical presentations and seminars for customers/clients/consultants.
    • Regularly visit new and existing clients and consultants to pursue new sales leads.
    • Prepare and convert quotations into orders.
    • Obtain and maintain up-to-date information on customer, market, and competitor information.

    Distributor Sales:

    • Identify, develop, and qualify new distributor partners within the assigned territory.
    • Manage a network of sales agents, partners, and distributors.
    • Develop sales plans to increase brand awareness based on market trends.
    • Evaluate partner sales performance and recommend improvements.
    • Educate partners about product portfolio and complimentary services offered.
    • Address partner-related issues, sales conflicts, and pricing issues.
    • Manage sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales, and identify new business opportunities.
    • Develop positive working relationships with partners.
    • Stay current with the latest developments in the marketplace and competitor activities.
    • Communicate up-to-date information about new products and enhancements to partners.
    • Assist in partner marketing activities such as tradeshows, campaigns, and promotional activities.

    Contracts Phase:

    • Review all client purchase orders, contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure technical and commercial compliance.
    • Action any outstanding matters remaining on new orders after handover to the Project Managers.
    • Attend client, consultant, and supplier meetings, supplier tests, and site visits to assist the Project Managers.

    After-Sales Phase:

    • Support the Service Team with contract negotiations and commercial discussions whenever requested.

    General:

    • Build and maintain a viable customer/consultant/supplier network within the assigned APAC region.
    • Become the focal point for Company DRUPS sales throughout the region.
    • Maintain close sales liaison within Company Malaysia, Company BV, and all other regional Company offices and partners.
    • Support, train, and develop new staff to enable maximum company growth.
    • Support all other office staff roles as and when required.

    Required Skills and Profile:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
    • Over 10 years of technical, tendering, and sales-related engineering experience.
    • 8-10 years of working experience in the Rotary Machine/UPS/Industrial application industry.
    • Excellent command of both technical and commercial English language (speech, reading, and writing).
    • Excellent commercial ability and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in English and Chinese; knowledge of any other language is a plus.
    • Excellent personal contacts with key decision-makers within the key UPS market areas.
    • Good technical and commercial knowledge of the UPS industry and marketplace.
    • Knowledge of UPS competition and different UPS technologies.
    • Sales and marketing experience in Thailand & Vietnam is a plus.
    • Relation with design institutes is a plus.
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Passport and full driving license.
    • Strong analytical capabilities.
    • Flexible and able to work under stress.
    • Preferably located at Company Taiwan office and willing to travel.
