Thermal Senior Principal Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Thermal Senior Principal Engineer to join our Commercial Thermal Engineering Development team in Taipei. As a key member of our team, you will lead internal and external thermal development efforts for complex commercial PC devices, subsystems, and components.

You will be responsible for providing design guidance and solutions for difficult thermal issues, supporting the integration of thermal strategy across technical disciplines, and driving technical partners to fulfill Dell's thermal design requirements. You will also direct cross-functional teams on all thermal issues, viewed internally and externally as a thermal technology and tools expert. Additionally, you will generate new processes and specifications to meet newly developed technology trends, including AI PC strategy, and innovate patents to protect our core value and win product competition.

What We're Looking For:

• A Master's degree in mechanical/thermal engineering with +15 years' experience in product design (laptop PC, desktop PC, and/or Commercial & Consumer Electronics a plus)
• Sophisticated knowledge of mechanical, thermal, and performance interactions, and ability to apply experienced understanding to resolve issues on specific thermal tasks.
• Ability to motivate and direct a workgroup. Advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures and product development from thermal perspective.
• Advanced understanding of using 3D CAD (Computer Assist Design) and FloTherm thermal simulation tools. Solid and experience on thermal design knowledge/resolutions and relationship with industry solution providers for daily tasks
• Excellent working knowledge of thermal engineering and design guidelines with specific expertise in the areas of design for large-scale production, sheet metal and injection molding, electrical interconnect systems, heat extraction and vibration control.
