Etched is hiring a Failure Analysis Engineer to own the end-to-end debug process across our full hardware stack: chip, board, and rack-scale systems.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly diagnose triage and resolve hardware failures; determine whether issues originate in the chip board or rack infrastructure drive resolution with appropriate team partners build refine debug playbooks as production scales for US-based hardware silicon teams own failure triage receive field production failures isolate root cause chip board-level system/rack-level route appropriate team clear problem statement drive root cause analysis electrical test equipment oscilloscopes logic analyzers multimeters system-level diagnostics identify failure mechanisms corrective actions build refine debug processes partner US hardware counterparts document flows different failure modes creating repeatable scale production volume troubleshoot communication failures between managers CDUs components understand thermal power network infrastructure interact rack scale interface BMC firmware Linux command line BMC interfaces pull logs run diagnostics validate health investigations close quality feed trends findings back design manufacturing operations teams systemic improvements
