SSD Product Development and Debug Engineer - Hsinchu

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
Perform in-depth debugging and root cause analysis of SSD product issues across firmware, hardware, and system levels.
Collaborate with design, firmware, software, and hardware teams to identify, isolate, and resolve defects.
Collaborate directly with the SSD Controller vendor at their site. Coordinate debug efforts between the two companies.
Utilize advanced debugging tools and techniques (e.g., logs, analyzers, profilers) to diagnose failures and performance anomalies.
Drive issue resolution through detailed investigation and clear documentation of findings.
Provide feedback to development teams to improve product robustness and prevent recurrence of issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SSD architecture, protocols, and industry trends to enhance debugging strategies.
Support validation and bring-up activities by analyzing failures rather than developing test frameworks.
Serve as a technical resource for complex problem-solving and mentor team members on debugging best practices.
Work closely with the team in the United States.

Qualifications
Strong background in debugging storage devices, with a focus on SSD technologies.
Proficiency in analyzing logs, traces, and system-level interactions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of Python programming experience (for automation and analysis tasks).
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SSD validation and debugging across firmware, hardware, and system layers.
Familiarity with industry-standard debugging tools and methodologies.
