Bharathi Priya

I am currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Graduate Institute of Clinical Dentistry, National Taiwan University, Taipei. She received her Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Bharathiar University, Tamil Nadu, India in 2012 and a PhD in Biotechnology from the same University in 2017. She attained her PhD with the meritorious UGC-BSR fellowship. And a rank holder both in my undergraduate programme (2nd rank among all the affiliated colleges of Bharathidasan University) & master's programme (3rd rank in the Bharathiar University). My previous research work features majorly on molecular cardiology. Her specific research interests include Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and Regenerative medicine. She has published over 17 referred articles in a wide range of highly recognised international peer-reviewed journals and a book chapter (entitled “Phytonanoconjugates in Oral Medicine”) in Elsevier publications. I gained a good shot term experience in the epigenetic regulation of the aging of human & mouse bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and radio-immuno-oncology on enhancing the expression levels of two membrane receptors on liver cancer cells for the radio-immunosensitization with NK cells. These tenures groomed my way of thinking in solving a research hypothesis inculcating the latest techniques with narrowing towards critical experiments. Currently, I am working in the Interdisciplinary field of Biomaterial Science and Tissue engineering for the application and engineering of stem cells for regenerative pulp therapy. I am currently seeking for a better opportunity and want to relocate myself to a different country/region to seek new challenges for professional growth and career advancement in addition to my family obligations. This will help me to expand my knowledge and skills which can be applied to make a meaningful contribution to a step forward in science.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
➢ February 2022-Present - Post-Doctoral Researcher at School of Dentistry & Graduate Institute of Clinical Dentistry, National Taiwan University Hospital, Taiwan (Characterization, antibacterial & biocompatibility analysis of dental materials).
➢ March 2019-September 2019 - Post-Doctoral Researcher at Institute of New Drug Development & Integrative Stem Cell Center, China Medial University Hospital, Taiwan (Mechanism of epigenetic regulation on the aging of human and mouse bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells)
➢ August 2018-December 2018 - Post-Doctoral Researcher, Department of Radiation Oncology, National Taiwan University Hospital, Taiwan (Mechanistic investigation of radiosensitization by HDAC inhibition mediated NKG2D-dependent natural killer cell effect on hepatocellular carcinoma)
➢ April 2013 to August 2017 - Junior & Senior Research Fellow (JRF) at Department of Biotechnology, Bharathiar University funded by University Grants Commission, under Research Fellowship in Sciences for meritorious students (UGC-BSR Research Fellowship) (Identification & analysis on the efficacy of phytochemicals against anticancer drug-mediated cardiotoxicity).
➢ June 2016 to September 2016 - short-term intern fellow at Graduate Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, China Medical University, Taichung, Taiwan (Role of a novel ZAK inhibitor on genetic hypertension and cardiac hypertrophy in spontaneous hypertensive rats)
