Sabrina Kao

My name is Sabrina and I am doing my master degrees at Imperial College London for finance and accounting major. As a Taiwanese, I graduated from National Taiwan University for undergraduate degree, where I ranked within the top 1% of my class and received the dean's list recognition for all semesters.

My mother is a fixed income sales for financial institutions, so I developed an early interest in the field. This passion led me to start my first internship as an equity investment analyst in Taiwan Institute of Directors, which is a family office with 5 bn asset under management, in this position, I applied financial modeling techniques, such as the DCF model, to do the valuation for potential target companies.

My second internship was a product strategy analyst at Eastspring Investment. During my time there, I take responsibility for producing the funds sales kit, market, and assets outlook. This experience trained my communicational skills and given me certain client exposure.

Now I am the multi asset research analyst in AllianceBernstein, to support fund managers to manage relevant index tracking portfolios including ETFs, fund of fund, and institutional portfolios, do portfolio construction like rebalancing, provide asset allocation outlooks, and deliver insightful commentaries. Furthermore, I work extensively with data and utilize programming languages like Python, VBA, and SQL for workflow automation and optimization.

For the extracurricular activities in my student time, I was actively involved as a student global culture ambassador, welcoming and organizing events for over 50 international students to promote cultural exchange. During my free time, I love traveling and photography to feel the energy of the world.
